Gwen Stefani is stepping into the holiday season with gratitude, love, and her signature festive spirit — and she credits much of that joy to her husband, country superstar Blake Shelton.
The singer and fashion icon appeared on the Today Show on December 4 and opened up about what the couple has planned for Christmas this year. For Gwen and Blake, the holidays aren’t just about traditions — they’re about celebrating in two places they now call home.
“Blake and I, we just bounce back and forth between Oklahoma constantly,” Gwen shared, explaining that life as a bi-coastal family has become their normal. “This December, we’re going back there and then we’re going to bounce back to LA.”
With Blake’s deep country roots in Oklahoma and Gwen’s California upbringing, the couple makes sure both places get a fair share of holiday love. They even kicked off the festive season early with two Thanksgiving celebrations, something Gwen says she feels grateful for.
“We had to do two of them,” she laughed. “It’s been a blessing to be able to do that. And I love Oklahoma. This time of year is the best. It’s so beautiful.”
But the travel isn’t the only meaningful part of their holiday routine. Gwen also visited The Tonight Show where she shared one of their tastiest traditions — a dish Blake introduced called the timpano dome. The creation is a pasta-pizza hybrid packed with carbs and layered into a dome shape. Jimmy Fallon even surprised her with one during the show, prompting the singer to burst into laughter.
Food, family, and fun — that’s exactly how Gwen describes the experience of winding down the year with Blake. And it’s clear that both artists make the holidays a priority, no matter what their busy schedules look like.
Gwen and Blake married in 2021 after first developing a close friendship and then a romance while working together on The Voice in 2015. Over the years, they’ve gifted fans their holiday cheer through music too — including their collaboration on Gwen’s 2017 Christmas album.
For Gwen, the magic of the season is deeply personal. She says her love of holidays comes from childhood memories shaped by her parents, who always made the time of year feel special.
“It was always about the holidays,” she said. “It just brings all those memories and you feel very secure.”
As the couple prepares to split their time between the wide-open beauty of Oklahoma and the sunny buzz of Los Angeles, Gwen is soaking in every moment — calling their holiday life together nothing short of a blessing.
